PLACEMENTS
Paula qualified as a Physical Therapist in the USA in 1988 and has volunteered previously in Nepal. Join us to volunteer in a local clinic, hospital, nunnery, or monastery for a minimum of 2 weeks to as long as agreed. We are currently collaborating with Bodhisattvas in Action Foundation ( click logo above to view website). BIA is a Kathmandu based charity which provides people with spinal cord injuries and other physical impairments the opportunity to learn new skills and work. Other placements can be organised by special arrangement.Your accommodation can be in Kathmandu or in a Nepali homestay closer to the facility if outside of the city. We know lots of people and help will always be around the corner!

Experience
You will have a qualification in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy and would like to work as a volunteer both learning from Nepali staff but also creating an open exchange of your skills as needed. You will have a minimum of two years experience.
Application
If you are interested, please get in touch for an application. An in-person interview, if based the UK, is required if selected. If you are overseas, a Skype interview will be arranged.
Induction
You also will be expected to attend a UK based two day induction which will cover our policies and other important information. You will also have a brief introduction to the Nepali language and culture. Once in Nepal another two-day induction will further introduce you to the city and getting around.
